Vena Energy Receives World Developer Excellence of the Year Award at the 5th Annual Global Solar + Energy Storage 2019 Event and Award Ceremony

Vena Energy, the largest independent renewable energy developer in the Asia-Pacific region was presented the “World Developer Excellence of the Year” award at the 5th Global Solar + Energy Storage 2019 event and awards show last night in Seoul, South Korea.

“This accolade is a testament to our dedication in enabling the transition to renewable energy in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Mr. Nitin Apte, CEO of Vena Energy. “Establishing strong, mutually beneficial relationships with the local communities and our partners is key to our continued success, and we dedicate this award to them all as well.”

Mr. Kwangjin Cheong, Country Manager of Vena Energy Korea, received the award and was also a featured panellist during the event, where he shared his views on the challenges in developing sustainable renewable projects in Korea. “South Korea is a key market for Vena Energy, and we believe that our expertise and track record in solar and wind energy will enable us to provide cost-effective, renewable solutions to support the government’s pledge to boost the share of sustainable energy to 20% by the year 2030,” he said.

With over 36 solar assets across 5 markets in Asia-Pacific generating more than 1.1 GW in 2018, Vena Energy continues to add to its portfolio of renewable energy projects at an electric pace. The 95 MW Tailem Bend Solar Project was unveiled in May 2019 in South Australia and is expected to meet the annual needs of approximately 40,000 households.
